Obituary



Marion E. Phelps was born in Hampden, Maine on May 10, 1931. She was born to Raymond Everett Henry and Leta Marion Partidge, and lived most of her life in Corpus Christi Texas with her husband of 28 years, Dennis Phelps.



She was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Gillies and nephew-in-law, Bob Martin of Longview Texas.



She survived by her loved ones, Husband; Dennis Phelps;  half-brothers,  Ray (Karen) Henry of Manassas, Virginia and Jimmy (Gloria) Henry of Etowah, North Carolina; half-sisters; Anne Tremble of Kitty Hawk, North...

She survived by her loved ones, Husband; Dennis Phelps;  half-brothers,  Ray (Karen) Henry of Manassas, Virginia and Jimmy (Gloria) Henry of Etowah, North Carolina; half-sisters; Anne Tremble of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; Children:  Christian (Mary Helen) Gillies, Charles Gillies and Caroline (Rick) Schaefer; grandchildren:   Tina (Henry) Mangum, Tracy Gillies, Charles Gillies, Lucy McCollum-Gillies;  Great grandchildren:  Marley Mangum, Garrett Mangum, Makenzie Mangum, Jordyn (Josh) Stephens, Tyler Garza, Rylee Garza; Nieces:  Linda Martin of Longview, Texas, Karen Ryan of Brewer, Maine;  Nephews: Dick Crawford of Holden, Maine,  Leroy (Mary Ellen) Crawford of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and numerous other relatives.



Marion retired from Graybar Electric in 1988. She enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 states cruising with 32 cruises under her belt.  She was loved very much by her family.



Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m.  on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Cage Mills Funeral Directors Chapel.
