Obituary



Raymond Walter Sultemeier, age 83, went to be with our Lord on May 27, 2013. Ray served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and while in the service he married Barbara Stella Adams on August 24, 1952. After serving in the arm forces they moved to San Antonio, Texas and they later settled in New Braunfels, Texas where he had been employed as an electrician for over 20 years. He later opened his own electric company until he became disabled.

Raymond Walter Sultemeier, age 83, went to be with our Lord on May 27, 2013. Ray served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and while in the service he married Barbara Stella Adams on August 24, 1952. After serving in the arm forces they moved to San Antonio, Texas and they later settled in New Braunfels, Texas where he had been employed as an electrician for over 20 years. He later opened his own electric company until he became disabled.



In 1998, Ray and Bobbie moved to Corpus Christi where Ray opened a new chapter of his life while meeting new friends at church and in his neighborhood.  He kept busy building things until the very end.  He will be missed.  Like Ray said, “He never met a stranger.”



He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Sultemeier; his children, Karen (John) Schraub, Clayton Ray Sultemeier (Sandy), and Ronald James Sultemeier (Kiersten); his grandchildren, Barrett Adam Schraub, Pamela Gayle Schraub, Eric Michael Sultemeier, Matthew James Sultemeier, and Candice Marie Schulle; a sister, Mary Jane Lakey; and 8 great-grandchildren.



Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship, 6602 S. Staples.  Burial will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
